Delta News and Information

Pipe Fitters' Visit

On April 12 all students at both Summit and Delta had the opportunity to visit with the Pipe Fitters' in their learning mobile unit. Not only were they able to listen and learn but they also participated in 'hands on' activities related to the field. They received information on paid apprenticeship programs, which produce fully trained, competent journeypersons with the skills needed to perform effectively in the workplace.

Students learned that the application process is lengthy. It begins with the applicant attending one of the Application Days held on the first Wednesday of the month at the Training Centers. Delta/Summit students left with information on a very rewarding career!

2016 St. Baldrick's Day

This year Summit and Delta came together to fight kids cancer for the 8th year in a row. Our program had a total of 11 shavees show their commitment to St. Baldrick's and shave their head to raise awareness of childhood cancer. The students, staff, shavees, and volunteers all worked together to raise $4,000 at our event. In honor of a little boy named Mason who is fighting a rare form of cancer referred to as RMS. Together we can make a difference.
